Pet Policy
Cornerstone, a Mutual Housing and Habitat for Humanity Community is a pet-friendly community with prior permission, additional requirements and restrictions as set in our Cornerstone pet policy/agreement.
- No more than (1) pet is allowed per apartment.
- No pets are allowed without an approved Pet Agreement authorized by Management. Pet Agreement contains breed restrictions and limitations.
- Pets must weigh less than 25 pounds, be spayed or neutered and have proof of current rabies vaccination.
- A $250 pet deposit is required.
- Service animals or Companion animals (Assistance Animals) are allowed as a Reasonable Accommodation.
Assistance Animals
Management will allow assistive animals as verified pursuant to applicable law, which are defined as animals that are used to assist, support, or provide service to persons with disabilities. Assistance animals – often referred to as “service animals,” “assistive animals,” “support animals,” or “therapy animals” – perform many disability-related functions including but not limited to guiding individuals who are blind or have low vision, alerting individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing to sounds, providing minimal protection, or rescue assistance, pulling a wheelchair, fetching items, alerting persons to impeding seizures, or providing emotional support to persons with disabilities who have a disability-related need for such support.
